Bible Fellowship Church is an evangelical, non-denominational, Bible believing, Christ-centered church. The Bible is our sole and final authority for belief and practice.
We meet on Sunday mornings at 10:30 a.m. at 2864 Park Springs Drive, Grand Prairie, Texas (inside of a home).
We believe:
1. There is one God, eternally existent in three co-equal, co-eternal persons, Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, each having the exact same essence and nature. God is omniscient, omnipotent, and omnipresent. He created and is sovereign over all things (Deuteronomy 6:4; 1 Corinthians 8:4; Acts 17:24-28; 1 Timothy 1:17; Genesis 1:1; John 1:1-3; Ephesians 3:9; John 1:1-3, 14, 18; Matthew 28:19; 1 Peter 1:1-2; Colossians 1:15-20; Romans 1:19-20; Job 42:2; Romans 11:33-36; 1 John 3:20; Acts 17:24-28; Psalm 139:7-12; 1 Timothy 1:17; Isaiah 40:28; John 1:1-3; Numbers 23:19; 1 Chronicles 29:10-12; Isaiah 46:9-10).
2. The Bible is the Word of God. It is inspired, infallible, and authoritative and is sufficient in all matters pertaining to the Christian life and faith (2 Peter 1:20-21; 1 Thessalonians 2:13; 2 Timothy 3:16-17; Hebrews 4:12; John 10:35; Psalm 19:7-9).
3. God created mankind in His image. When tempted by Satan, the first people, Adam and Eve, sinned by disobeying God. All human beings are therefore sinners by nature and by choice, alienated from God, and under His wrath (Genesis 1:26-28; Genesis 3:1-19; Genesis 3:16-17; Genesis 3:1-19; Romans 3:10-18; Romans 3:23).
4. Jesus Christ, God the Son, was born of the virgin Mary. Though also fully man, He lived a sinless life and can therefore serve as our representative. He died on a cross, was buried, and raised bodily back to life on the third day. (Matthew 1:18; Luke 1:34-35; 1 Corinthians 15:3-8; Galatians 4:4-5; Hebrews 4:15; Philippians 2:5-8; John 1:14).
5. Only through God’s saving work in Jesus Christ can people be rescued from both their sin and its effects, reconciled to God, and renewed to everlasting life (Romans 3:21-26; Romans 5:8-10; John 1:12; 1 Peter 1:18-19; Titus 3:5; Colossians 1:21-22).
6. The church universal is comprised of all who have been justified by God’s grace alone through faith alone in Christ alone and who have been called to live a sacrificial/sanctified life through the power of the Holy Spirit. The Bible specifies two church offices; deacons and elders, and two ordinances: Believers Baptism and the Lord’s Supper (1 Corinthians 12:12-13; Romans 3:21-24; Ephesians 2:8-9; Acts 4:12; 1 Timothy 3:1-13; Titus 1:5-9; 1 Peter 5:1-5; Matthew 28:19-20; Acts 10:47-48; 1 Corinthians 11:23-29).
7. God commands us to love Him supremely and to live out our faith in community. We are to make disciples, baptizing them in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, teaching them what Christ has commanded in His word (Deuteronomy 6:510:12; Matthew 22:37; 1 Corinthians 15:58; Acts 2:42-47; Matthew 28:19; Acts 1:8; Ephesians 4:9-16).
8. Christ will return to Earth and will bodily raise the dead and judge the world, condemning all unbelievers to hell and gracing all believers with everlasting life on the new Earth with Him (Revelation 22:7, 12; 1 Thessalonians 4:13-18; Revelation 20 11-15; 2 Corinthians 5:10; 2 Timothy 4:8; Revelation 211-5; Romans 6:22-23).
9. God established marriage as a covenantal, lifelong and exclusive relationship between one man and one woman, and all intimate sexual activity outside the marriage relationship is immoral and sinful (Matthew 19:4-6; 1 Corinthians 7:1-6; Hebrews 13:4; Romans 1:26-27; Ephesians 5:22-33).
